ABOUT
Vlad Pocol (born in 1992 in Fribourg , Switzerland; lives and works between Switzerland and the Middle East).
Vlad Pocol is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist whose practice explores migration, identity, and emotional transformation. Shaped by a family history of Romanian political exile and Levantine heritage, and informed by years spent in Geneva, Paris, and Riyadh, Vlad Pocol develops a practice attentive to both geographical and emotional displacement. Within this framework, Vlad Pocol considers how experiences of origin and movement intersect to form a cross-cultural practice that reflects on processes of transformation. Trained as a lawyer and having worked as a judge in Switzerland, Vlad Pocol shifted his career in 2023 to devote himself fully to art.
